govWorks Takes Center Stage at SXSW

AUSTIN, March 9, 2018 — A wise man once said that necessity is the mother of invention. Then perhaps innovation is the daughter of imagination. Finding problems that require innovative solutions is what motivates us here at govWorks.

That’s why we’re excited to have been invited to TechCo’s annual Startup Night at SXSW, which attracts the the most innovative startups from around the world. As part of the Startup of the Year program, which has been showcasing early-stage startups since 2006, govWorks will be pitching its innovative brands.

After launching TravelVisa.com, PassportCenter.com, and PassportRenewal.com in January 2018, these govWorks brands have already made an impact on the passport and travel visa expediting industry by bringing a fresh approach to an antiquated and bureaucratic process.

Having already won Startup of the Year in Miami, entrepreneur and govWorks founder Adam Boalt is no stranger to innovation. By stripping away old-fashioned methods to expedite travel documents, govWorks is modernizing the outdated process with state-of-the-art technology that runs our intuitive online web platform.

Innovation is the name of the game at govWorks. Innovation is part of our culture. Innovation is in our DNA. Innovation is what drives us. And in order to innovate sometimes the old way of doing things must be swept aside.

Simply put, sometimes best-practices need to be rewritten. The govWorks team prides itself on not trudging down well-worn paths. We’re always looking for fresh solutions to entrenched problems. And this innovative passion is evident in the quality of our products and services.

How, you ask? The way people have applied for passports hasn’t changed much in half a century. You fill out the forms, get a passport photo, show a series other required documents, mail everything off and wait. And wait, and wait, and wait. Sure, other passport and travel visa expediting services exist. But they’re pretty much operating in the same outdated mode.

Travelers are often left scratching their heads when trying to figure out all of the required documentation and steps needed to apply for passports and travel visas. Our mission is to take the guesswork out of the process and reinvent the methodology so that travelers can worry less about filling out forms and focus more on planning their adventure.

For instance, govWorks is using technology that enables user to scan documents. And we have a smart Wizard that guides users through the process online, ensuring there are no mistakes.

We’ve entered the market at a very critical time. With that in mind, we think we can solve many of the challenges facing the industry moving forward. And we’re confident our services will help the government too.

The U.S. Department of State issued more than 18 million passports in 2007. A record number, until this year. They estimate that the number of passport processed in 2018 will be well over 21 million. It has been widely reported that the onslaught of passport applications entering the system might result in delayed processing time. This is where our seamless expediting service will be most helpful to consumers and the government.

We’re honored to have the opportunity at SXSW to showcase how our hard work and innovative approach can create a public benefit.

It’s going to be a great event and we certainly hope to see you there. Join us at TechCo’s Private Startup Night SXSW Pitch Jam Competition, March 10th at 6pm at Maggie Mae’s in Austin, Texas.

See you there!
